A Personal Letter from Don
Hello and welcome (or welcome back).
I’m going to assume that you’re here because you’re engaged and looking for a wedding photographer. Congratulations and please do take the time to look around. This is what I am and what I do for a living, so I sincerely hope you enjoy the images.
If you do truly love the images - you can see yourself and your event in them - feel like you’re there even though the subjects may be perfect strangers to you - then you are most likely as much of a lover of authentic moments as I am. And if that’s true then take the time to read further. It won’t take long and I hope it will help you as you’re making what I feel to be the very important decision about who will document your wedding day.
My perspective on weddings has never changed, from my very first wedding to now well over 500 that I’ve personally shot. This day is about family, friends, and the first of many exceptional days in your new life together. It is about small, private, and heartfelt glances. It is about dramatic moments writ large and for all to see. It is every honest moment in-between. I’ve made it my goal as a wedding photographer to always make it about the moments.
This is why I always want to at least chat with anyone who loves my work. I want you to hear the passion for what I do in my own voice. I want you to understand my commitment to making your day as fun and anxiety-free as possible. The more comfortable you are with me, the more excited you are about what images I’ll produce, then the more you simply relax and enjoy yourself.
So, whomever you hire (and I certainly hope it’s me) I want you to make a decision based on a shared passion for fantastic moments and the trust that you’ll be well taken care of. Portraits and formals are a must and you’ll certainly see that I enjoy creating them. Details make lovely memories of your time in planning, your sense of style and commitment to an elegant event. But what you’ll really love from the moment you first lay eyes them and absolutely treasure for years are the beautifully captured moments. And that’s what I do.
Congratulations and I hope to hear from you soon.
